3M™ High Protection Surgical Gown offers optimal patient and wearer protection. It performs under pressure, providing a barrier to the transfer of microorganisms and body fluids from the surgical site. It is available in both standard and reinforced designs. The reinforced design provides additional wearer protection for high fluid procedures with reinforced panels on both the chest and sleeve areas.
The gown is made from SMMS non-woven fabric with polyamide/polyester cuffs. The SMMS four layer material is designed to be a strong fabric which increases the durability of the gown, is resistant to tears and punctures which can help provide extra protection as well as comfort for the wearer. The reinforced design has a polyethylene film/polyester-nonwoven reinforcement on the front chest area and on both sleeves and provides additional wearer protection for procedures with expected high levels of fluid.
